Since we can post pictures straight to the site now, I figure I’ll post up some progress from my build.

The car is an 86 notchback, original 4 cylinder auto car, I picked up as a roller for $900.

The engine is a 347 I had built years ago but never got around to putting in anything until somewhat recently.

specs are
Stock block, neutral balanced 347
10:2.1 cr
236/243 .603/.588 cam
Afr 185 heads
Funnel web intake
750 quick fuel carb

Picture from when I bought the car

pulled the dash so that I could re wire the entire car.

I used an EZ Wiring kit and re wired the car with only the essentials. Lights, ignition ,fan and water pump. Heater box was also pulled.

also decided to smooth the engine bay this time since the engine was out. This was my first time smoothing an engine bay and learned that next time I will just buy the smooth panels. Lol.

Mounting up coil overs. Using the stock 86 spindles, I had to grind them down a bit to make them fit.

Got the engine set in there using solid motor mounts. I also switched to manual brakes. Ranger master cylinder with a willwood prop valve.

Wiring harness from EZ Wiring. 12 circuit piece but I ended up only using a few. I mounted the fuse panel behind the driver kick panel

I swapped steering columns also from my 85 hatch. The notchback didn’t have a tilt column so i swapped it out with the tilt from my hatch.

wiring The harness to the stock cluster here.
