I have a almost new 8 inch ptc nitrous converter. it actually broke the outer ring and fingers completely off . it was still bolted to the flywheel. nothing is locked up.any of u guys ever saw this happen before.

Whats the outer ring? Did it actually leak oil when this happened? Hope it didn't cause too much damage.

the outer mounting ring that bolts to the flywheel attached by 3 fingers to the face of the converter.
wasn't sure how to word it. but it broke completely off. anti.e ever saw this happen

Can't say I have ever seen that. Was it welded or bolted?

it was welded. I just hope ptc will take care of it. I have only had it a couple of months and maybe 12 passes

I've never seen that happen either. I have seen where one mount tore loose from a converter years ago. TCI took care of that for my customer with no trouble; I'd believe Kenny/PTC would sure help too.

Like new huh, would indicated a welding problem, rather tham weld exercising from balloning?
