Cool, it was Tom I was talking to at Ford also. WT plus Morgan's magic, 9.5's in the near future bud. Funny how things work out, that was your goal before unveiling Trackboss 427 wasn't it.
Yes, just one time slip and done with stock blocks. Personal goal.

Mark, I have no idea. I only remember the adds and the griffin symbol. Have your cousin call him and see if is him.

Those valve covers come up on eBay from time to time. If I remember right I think B&B made an aluminum valve cover that was very similar and plain cast with no markings but they discontinued them decades ago. On Garrett I have a set of their early 351W four bolt main conversion main caps with hardware. Good looking parts but not sure if Garrett is still in business these days. I haven’t noticed any of their adds lately. Good job on the vids Tim!

Well The Numbers Are In...Darin Morgan sent me a pic of my baseline A3 flow numbers. He said "he was impressed, and he is rarely impressed". The original flow sheet is included to compare. Done by the late Jeff Jeffrey T. Kobylski, RIP. We know how much Hp the 408 made and 1/4 mile times. Might pick up some I am guessing. Darin said he can work a little magic on the A3's, using my heads as the master for CNC program. Interested message me......Thanks Darin.

I love those high risers, FE are wicked. Hopefully those dove heads don't leak, I know they had issues at one time. I heard old Jim not doing well...

Not much real porting as the ports were big enough, Jim just mostly did his valve job, evened up the velocity on the short turn and blended every thing. When I had them milled the surface look very good, so we'll see. I wish I could fit a 2.3 valve in the thing. Any of these heads that flow over 300 at .500 lift is doing good.

LOL, surely your not comparing modern port design to 50-60 year old designed ports are you? But maybe you should as the LS7 port is just a modern raised floor HI-Riser port that flows just a little more (progress??). I've always said that the LS is just a baby FE, lol. :p,

Also the chamber shape has a lot to do with what one of these ports flow, my FE heads chamber is terrible by any standard compared to the LS7's chamber. What these heads flow at .4/.5/.6 is what really matters.

Was comparing the Cleveland heads for a smaller bore.
2.9 CSA with 2.20 in - 1.55 ex valves. Heads cost 600 buck for the pair. Paid for work done.
4.060 bore size tested.

0.2000 111.2 165.2

0.3000 167.2 238.7

0.4000 191.3 300.6

Just your typical street engine 800+ lift and 14.8 comp. Messing with Zach/emc winner when he was @ SAM to put this thing together. been called crazy & stupid for ideas on heads. Say fuck'em & get with guys who have done or did my ideas . Have Ls3's for the calm version @ 11.8 comp 730 lift (should make what the 408 Cleveland made). Some guys look @ a brand for builds & ref. They're all they same. 408 ford will make what a 408 ls will make & vice versa if we get air & fuel in.
