Mrs. DragBoss: Behind The Scenes At DragBoss Garage. Lets See What DragBoss Is Doing Now
Hey guys, thank you for watching my videos, I have playlist here, at DragBoss Garage. I also have a channel almost set up so I will post them there. This is a video I made over the weekend, when DragBoss was into all kinds of projects. He is trying to get the Cougar Done by second week in March, so I told him, he better turn the wick up. He was painting the transmission, mount, removing the oil pump from the 354 Cleveland. Going over things he has to get done, and where he is at. Even little Alaina had to make a short, I hope you enjoyed that too. Hope you guys like the different angles of the goings on at DragBoss Garage. Stay tuned to find out what is next. Thanks for supporting him, and myself with our endeavors.

Behind The Scenes Of DragBoss Garage, One Of The Rarest Heads, The 6 Cylinder Cleveland Head.

Hey guys, Mrs DragBoss here. Welcome to my channel.
This is my first video, on my channel, and I think you will really be interested. On this episode of behinds the scenes, we will see what DragBoss is up to. He is working hard to get the Cougar done around the second week in March. I surprised him, as you can tell. He is working on getting exhaust gaskets fitted to the custom Stainless step headers, 2 inch into 2 1/8, with 7 degree 3 1/2 merge collectors. He told me what he was working with, as I am learning this engine stuff too. He also has what he called one of the rarest cylinder heads, a 6 cylinder Ford 351 Cleveland cylinder head. He said it is one of the rarest, as Ford never made this style iron head. It is made from 3 Ford 351 Cleveland 4V heads. He did say, he may have misspoke as he said it was made from 3 Boss 302 heads, but he said the part number was D1ZE, so maybe you guys can clarify for me in the comments. Not many of these were made, and were raced in Modified Production, I think he said, you guys can help with that too. He mentioned Sherman Sligh, who made his back in the day. DragBoss has a phone interview with him, and he tells his story. Look for link at end of video. It is an amazing piece of history, there were others too, such as Bruce Sizemore, Larry Mcoy, he put on one a Chevy 6 cylinder, who he will have a chat with in the future. He also is wiring up the Proform low profile radiator with built in fan, and finishing up the fuel system, from Fuel regulator to carb.
I hope you enjoy the different view of DragBoss Garage!! Mrs DragBoss

I also filmed the inside of his one of one, Ford Opposed FlatHead, 4 cylinder. I also got pics of the Flat Plane crank 350ci. Stay tuned, more on the way.

Thanks For The 15k Subs, Guys We Appreciate you! Drilling, And Installing The Custom 351 Cleveland Engine Plate
This video, shows the installation of my Custom Engine plate, that sponsored to me by Todd Fuchs, thanks Todd. He has the Ford 351 Cleveland Face Book page, and the web site 351C.net. It required drilling the water pump outlets, so I could mount my Meziere electric water pump. I asked about one of my last videos, about the best way to make the outlet holes in the aluminum plate. Since I have never had an Engine plate. Did not want to wreck this piece of art. Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. I used an 1/8 inch drill bit, and a step drill to close to 7/8 of an inch. I finished it with a Dremel, to smooth it out. Bolted it on, in the nick of time, before the Bossettes got home from school. Next video, the 409, gets installed, at DragBoss Garage.

DragBoss Garage: 03/05/2023 7pm .est Live Chat With John Fiamengo, He Chose Family Over A Ford 351 Cleveland Powered Pro Stock Mustang ll.
This chat is going to be a story, you have to hear from the guy who built the car, a 1978 Pro Stock Mustang ll from back in the day, when Pro Stock was the class in NHRA. Hear about the hotbed of racing in San Bernardino, California, Lets bench race and go back in time...
This is a live chat with John Fiamengo, he is the guy that built the 1978 Pro Stock Mustang, with only the best Builders, Parts, powered by a Pro Stock Ford 351 Cleveland. The car was almost finished, but he chose family over a race car. Hear his story of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, and then the ultimate sacrifice, selling the car before it was done, so he could start his family.
The car was sold to Paul Rebeschi jr, raced a few times, and john, never heard any more about the car. He knows it went in the 8s, with a best of 8.77. I made the video, and actually Paul Rebeschi commented on FaceBook, but only said he did not know what happened to it. So lets get to all the details, about the build, and who was involved, the cost, the sacrifices made.

DragBoss Garage: Finally Installing 775hp 409ci Ford 351 Cleveland, Into The DragBoss 69 Cougar, Slow But Sure.

Hey guys, another quick video of the installation of the 775hp, 409 cubic inch, Ford 351 Cleveland. Believe I am as happy as you to see my build at this stage of the game. With months at the chassis shop, just want to be done with this project. Things happen, and I just go with the flow.
I said I would have engine installed by second week of March, and installed it on the 3/4/2023. I worked on finishing up the fuel system with PTFE hose/steel braided lines. Thanks Orme Bros., talk to them, and they will hook you up with a discount. Now may install headers, and run it, as easy to install without transmission. Make sure no issues before i install trans. Also let headers heat up a few cycles, makes them fit better, and easier to remove in future.
Also have to finish C4 transmission with Alaina, before I can button it up. I want to get oil sample to send to Lake Speed jr. to see what he thinks, after dyno testing 20 plus pulls. Will also cut open oil filter. Then change the oil, and add coolant. Stay tuned, and keep on going, testing starts at Summit Raceway, on 4/15/2023.

DragBoss Garage: I Missed It, Should Of Used The Ring Gear Spacer, And Bolted The Mid Plate To The Engine Before I installed
I missed it guys! I should of used the Ring Gear spacer, that came with the mid plate. Ford's use a plate between the block and the transmission bell housing. This plate also covers the area where the starter bolts too. I did not use the spacer, that goes behind the ring gear or flex plate. Matt from Texas had mentioned I did not use a spreader ring, that the flex plate bolts go through. I have never used one for 40 years, nor do I have one. You guys use one? But my chassis guy JP watched the video, and said I forgot the spacer that goes in front of the flex plate. I then remembered, that the block plate, also covers the area of the starter, and spacer would help maintain the correct distance, so I removed the bell housing, and flex plate, and installed it. Torqued the ring gear, Reassembled it, and checked the starter, seem good to go. I also was told by JP, to install mid plate on block, and makes it even easier to install the engine. I am always learning something at DragBoss Garage. Stay tuned for the header Video.

Mrs DragBoss: Headers&Headaches, Know When To Hold Them, Know When To Fold Them, Know When To Walk Away...
Hi guys! 24 hr check-in at DragBoss Garage. What does the title remind you of? It is not always easy to install custom headers, as you will see. Especially for the first time. Watch the challenge DragBoss has on installing his custom stainless Headers. He said when your doing something, and you don't get it done on the second time, walk away. Many times in ER, people always seem to get hurt on the third try. So walk away and do something else, then go back and try it. DragBoss made a more in depth video of the installation. He also said he forgot, that the guy he mentioned Captain Cobra Jet, was Carl Holbrook, not Mike. Chris Holbrook is the son (engine builder/racer), who he is going to do a live chat with soon. DragBoss is also working on the 615 hp, 354 ci inch Cleveland for my 69 Mustang. He is getting the new Maier oil pan ready to install. DragBoss said he has not touched my Mustang... But what do you think? Please comment, on your thoughts of this, and the content. Thanks guys. Hope you enjoy the videos and keep watching. Like, Subscribe and Share!!

DragBoss Garage: Fire Up 775 hp Ford 351 Cleveland, She's Cooking Baby, She's Cooking, And She's Running The Right Firing Order
After getting the fuel leak under control... see video, now good to go. Hard to believe it was running with spark plug wires 7 and 8 crossed, on the short I made. Ran great, except toward the end, and then would have an occasional pop through the exhaust. It never did that before, ever. that really started to concern me, and give me that pit in the stomach pain. After talking with Steve Toth from Australia, we talked carbs, transmissions, and electrical. It Made think about the basics. So this am, 3/13/2023, I went and checked, all electrical connections, the spark plug wires, that I have marked.( I pulled them off for installation of the headers. Wait until you see that video). And dang it man, 7 and 8 were crossed. I did not even notice. But when I look back and listen, I can hear a difference in that short. Now it is running like a Cleveland, 409 ci of Ford Cleveland.
The long awaited moment is here for myself, and for you guys. I appreciate my family for helping me get to this point. Its been close to 5 years, since I started this project, with delays from Covid, time it took for the chassis modifications, and everything else in between The day has come, emotional for me. I guess it happened for a reason, to allow me to build this you tube channel DragBoss Garage. It allowed me to meet and chat with so many of you guys, I can't complain one bit, it was meant to be. The time has taught me so many things, from learning about life, and family to setting up my own cylinder heads. It allowed me know so many of you, about your experiences. It allowed me to have a live chat Format with many of the pioneers in this world of racing and high performance. Something all can enjoy, and learn from. I am just getting started... Please Like, Subscribe, and Share, and I will bring you more, and more.
It allowed me to teach my family the things, that I have learned, and to give back to others. Hopefully they will grow to love everything about racing, engines, and cars that I do. It allowed me to start a video record of myself and my kids for them to look back on, after I am dead and gone. It's not just a you tube channel, it's a friendship channel, a knowledge channel, and a Family channel. Always seeing or leaning something at DragBoss Garage.

DragBoss Garage: Installing Headers, Caution Can Cause Headaches A job You Have To Be Patient With
This video shows the process to install the custom headers by JP. They fit like a glove. I do not know how anyone can make these things, big talent for sure. These are Stainless 2 inch primary, that Step to 2 1/8, With Cone Engineering 7 degree Merge Collectors. They have an order you have to follow. In this case, the right side are installed 4,3,2,and 1, and left is 8,7,6, and 5. Not that hard, famous last words. There a few that need short bolts. Glad I installed on the 409 Cleveland on the stand to see how they fit, and get bolt length correct. The hardest part was getting the collectors installed. Definitely have to leave piped loose to get collector to fit. Have to beat them on, no way around it. They have nice location for my 02 sensors to fit. I have ran them a few times, and they sound wicked. I wanted them to take set after a few heat cycles, then always easier to remove or install. I was told I would have to remove the right side headers to install transmission, That was the reasoning behind running them with no trans in place. I think I can get the transmission to fit, if I install transmission sideways, and then rotate into position. Also have flex plate issues worked out, wait for that video. Stay tuned...Need to check out Mrs DragBoss' channel, she was there to help too...

DBG: Street Outlaws' Damon Merchant's 2005 Mustang GT/Cobra...A Pro Charged Coyote Bark At The Moon
hanks Jimmy Biggs, for hooking Damon and myself up. Dean Images for the media. Hey guys this is Damon Merchant's 2005 Mustang GT, that he races with the 405, on Discovery Channel's Street Outlaws. He is from Chickasaw, Oklahoma. The Mustang started Life as a GT,6 speed 3 valve motor that was twin turbo, and raced in King Of The Street in series back in 2005-2008. Basically just bounced around, and eventually bought in 2012 by Mr. Norm, from Chrysler Fame. He owned a Chrysler dealership that was big into performance, and Drag Racing from back in the 60s. The car basically just sat, and Damon picked it up, and decided to do some racing with it. The twin turbo motor, was replaced with a 5.0 liter Coyote, and Pro Charger. Big shout out to Steve and Brian Gerdas from South 40 Speed. These guys did a lot of the engine mods, and dyno tuning. The guys at Brando Speed, Brandon Hess/Steve Novak also contributed bigtime, with lots of fabrication work, and electrical/wiring. The car runs a MMR Intake and FIA -94 Pro Charger. He also races it in the NPK No Prep Kings Series. Hope I can check him out in person this summer. More thanks to Big Rob Entertainment, Big Chief. Remember, there is no buying in the 405.

DragBoss Garage: Dumplin, Damon Merchant's 1971 Chevelle SS 454, 4 Speed, No Air, Street Outlaws 405
This is Damon Merchant, from the 405/Street Outlaws Fame. He has known this Chevelle all of his life. It was his Dad's buddies car, Tom Stinnett. He would see this car and ride it in from 10 years of age. He said Tom was his mentor, and taught him a lot about street racing. He said that the car was an original SS 454, with a bench seat, M-22 4 speed, and a bench seat...No Air. The car was street raced by Tom, and actually had a dual fuel system. It has a original paint, love those black stripes, and vinyl top. Currently powered by a 489 ci BBC, with Holley Sniper fuel injection system, hydraulic roller cam, low compression, and runs on 91 octane. The big stick.. a D1x Pro Charger. he will be on a live chat 7 pm. est time 3/19/2023.
