i just put a tko 600 tremec in my 69 camaro. I upgraded to 1350 ujoints on both ends now the question is.

What is the threshold when i know i need to go from the stock 3 inch dia driveshaft to a 3.5inch dia. drive shaft.

Car has bout 500 at the flywheel. 12 bolt with 3:73. drag radials cal tracs.

80% street 20% track.

Will a 3inch dia be fine?

Should i go up in size?

length between u joints is appx. 47"

thanks

47" on center can stick with 3" diam shaft at that power. Make sure whoever you use that you DO NOT GET a china slip yoke..
Spicer, AAM or Neapco.... anything else and they'll have issues of twisting if they don't break altogether...
