i just bought a 66 convertible project that doesn't have the rear seat in it. are the coupe and convertible rear seats the same or different? how about the fronts,are they the same? thanks for the wisdom guys.---george

Both the top and bottom rear seat is different than the coupe. I have made many rear seats frames by modifying a coupe frame. All you need is a torch and a welder. Ask around to the locals and see if you can borrow a rear seat for a pattern. The most important part is the top of the back rest if it is not right it will look funny once installed in the car.

thanks guys. there are a couple of convert seats on ebay. looks like it is going to cost me the same for the seat as a paid for the car!

Yup, rear seat is totally different. I'm trying to find a front bench for my '65 as that's how it was originally equipped. Some PO put plain buckets in it.
