of course the dart 355 cnc is a way better power making head the as cast head probably doesnt even flow 400cfm and at 582ci will make a lot more hp with the cnc 355 head if the combo matches it.the only reason i can see not is if you dont want to spend the $.

Super Vic and a set of Dart or AFR CNC 355 / 357's.. would be your best bet. Just money! I'd bump your cam up to a 775int. 748exh grind. A 582ci moves a lot of air, let it breath.
I ran this grind (Comp I believe) in my 496ci on a 108LC (3500lb car) years ago, using the Dart CNC 335 heads.. Had a nice bumpety idle, and worked great for street thumpin... went 10.20's foot brakin too on a 9" slick. ;)

Assuming pump gas... keep it atleast 10.5 to1, 11 to 1 range. Use a good MSD Ignition ...

You should make great power and still be able to run premium pump gas.

Lemme know if you need help with parts.

Have fun!
