Since I have the motor apart, I'm considering upgrading my fully ported AFR 195CC LT4 heads to AFR 210CC LT4's. My current setup was all built around the heads having 57CC (Builder wrote "TME," whatever that means) chambers, but I have the opportunity to get a good deal on some prepped 210's. However, they have 75CC chambers. How would this affect the rest of the setup? What would I have to do to compensate. Also, my current setup had .036" cometic head gaskets with JE -22 CC dished pistons.

If it makes a difference, it was built around making around 15lbs of boost, but I'll be upping it to around 20lbs. Current setup is 9.08 CR.

Whats the specs on the 210’s? If your 195’s are fully ported then they may be pretty close to a 210 as is and there wouldnt be any benefit to going to the larger chamber imo just lower compression

The 210's have also been fully ported for a FI application. I don't have the flow numbers on mine, but the 210 #'s are

.200 144/110
.300 200/145
.400 246/179
.500 289/202
.600 303/220
.700 314/232

The biggest benefit will be going from a 2.02" intake valve to a 2.08"

Whats your displacement? Im not sure a 2.08 valve is necessarily needed in a FI application depending on cubes and rpm range. And power goals. If current heads are undersized then the 210’s should help and may be worth it but thats a huge drop in compression it may be a slug in response. Anyway to mill to atleast get it down 5-8 cc?

It's a 355. With 20lbs of boost and the fuel system upgrades I'm hoping to be in the 800-900RWHP through an automatic. Cam grind is a hydraulic roller 290/290-14NR(232/232 @ .050, .544" lift with 1.6RR's). I'd be open to milling them down.

I would leave as is. Your creating your own atmospheric pressure, so the numbers aren't that critical at your goals. I run a stock 799 head with a 2.02 valve, and with a small LJMS stg 2 turbo cam, 80mm turbo, tbss intake, and cast exhaust manifolds. by the mph at weight, I am making about 1000 on 23#. Personally, I don't think its money you need to spend, but we're comparing an LS to a SBC as well.

Yeah i dont see how you cant make that power with the 195 heads. That’s plenty of valve and head for a 355. Just turn the boost up

Thanks for the feedback! My porter did say that he could cram a 2.05 valve in my current head for a couple hundred bucks. Maybe I'll just split the difference and go that route while it's all apart...
