The 565 from 20 plus years ago: 10.8:1 comp, C&S 1,100 cfm aerosol bullet carb. 850-855hp at 6,800

Just ran it this way on the dyno. It made just as much power with the TFS "low rise" intake.
I have a dyno sheet somewhere I'll see if I can find it.

14.25:1. They mention it in the text below one of the pictures.
Thanks ....

That thing could have used a set of A-460's that flowed closer to 500 cfm.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that engine should have made more power? At 600cid and everything in that engine , I would have thought it should make more than 1025Hp. I saw a build on the 460 forum that made 1005 at 557” and not as much compression. But what do I know, I’m not a engine builder. I’m an engine assembler at best.

The only thing holding it back is the 460 cfm. Normally that’s a lot of air but for 600” at 7,000 it’s really a restriction. 15 more cfm would have been 35 more HP

I mean it did make 1.7 Hp per cube so I wouldn’t call it a dog. 😂 I’ll be ecstatic if my engine makes even 1.5 per cube.
