I'm guessing it will be a .030" over with a 4.3" stroke using Scat crank and rods. The block is a thick bulk head Dove-A block that is much sought after and will be using just the stock two bolt caps, 4 bolt caps are not in the budget and should not be needed at this power level pump gas engine. I'll update pictures and information as I get it. But this is it for now.

I roughed it into pipemax peaking at 6600 rpm (have no clue what cam or carb. that will be ran) with 10.5 CR. We'll see what it does when it goes on the dyno.

520.689 Cubic Inches @ 6600 RPM with 105.00 % Volumetric Efficiency PerCent

Required Intake Flow between 336.9 CFM and 357.1 CFM at 28 Inches
Required Exhaust Flow between 218.4 CFM and 250.5 CFM at 28 Inches

600 RPM/Sec Dyno Test Lowest Low Average Best
Peak HorsePower 708.2 737.3 751.8 766.4
Peak Torque Lbs-Ft 624.7 650.4 663.2 676.1

HorsePower per CID 1.360 1.416 1.444 1.472
Torque per Cubic Inch 1.200 1.249 1.274 1.298

BMEP in psi 180.9 188.4 192.1 195.8
Carb CFM at 1.5 in Hg. 1044 1162 1220 1279

Target EGT= 1338 degrees F at end of 4 second 600 RPM/Sec Dyno accel. test
Octane (R+M)/2 Method = 94.9 to 96.5 Octane required range
Air Standard Efficiency = 61.50563 % for 10.500:1 Compression Ratio

Peak HorsePower calculated from Cylinder Head Flow CFM only
600 RPM/Sec Dyno Test Lowest Average Best Potential
Head Flow Peak HP = 681.3 772.0 862.6

Depending on both of those, 1.5 hp per cube is not out of the question at 6,600. That would be 782 hp.

It has some potential with those heads.

What's it going in ?

Somewhere between 1.5 - 1.6 hp per cube for pump gas would be a good target.

It will be in a street truck, don't know what year, really don't want to put any real numbers on the HP, because it will be what it is and will be fun to see the results.
In that case the Trq #'s and a flat trq curve are far more important than a peak HP #.

Intake options would be great to play with. .....

For those who don't know, this block can be identified by the "A" cast into the front of the block as seen in the picture.
Some DOVE-A blocks do not have the large "A" cast in the front.
My DOVE-A 2 bolt block does not have the A cast in the front of the block.
Also my block - as well as the one you pictured has the Boss 429 bulkhead (also sought after).
The thicker bulkhead provides more material for the 4 bolt cap (on number 1).

Good parts!!
Will follow this build.
