I'm thinking about putting a 5 speed manual in my Street/Strip 70' Road Runner. What is a good manual trans that will handle some power (about 800 or so hp??.......procharged something for power.....)? I would like it to have overdrive.........Tremec, Richmond, G-Force???? Please enlighten me........

Probably a TKO600 depending on how heavy the car is.

I'd think a TKO600 could live behind that weight and power providing you run a clutch with a little give in it. It should be a pretty straight foward setup with a Quicktime bellhousing and TKO600. Let me know if I can assist you on the stuff.

Thanx for the info!! What's a good clutch for this application? I used a McLeod Street Twin in another car & that thing was nice for the street, but that thing was too aggressive for the strip & non- adjustable.
