I picked up a Willys with a 289/302 SBF. As a GM guy I don't have much experience with the Ford motors. I want this to be a fun weekend truck but something that's enjoyable to drive on the street. It needs lots of work but I want to get an idea for motor parts and setup. It's been sitting for about 5 years not running.

Whole motor:

Pulled the plugs today...I'm no gas motor guy yet but eek!! Had fuel pour out of #8 and #4 cylinders.

Cylinders 1 through 4:

Cylinders 5 through 8:

Tried barring motor over and couldn't. Plan is to soak cylinders in Marvel Mystery Oil or PB Blaster.

I think the motor is a 302. On the intake the firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

Cool truck, I had a 47 in high school with a sbc in it and stock driveline. A lot of good memories with it.
