i have a 523 bbf 1972 block 4 bolt milodon splayed caps filled to the waterjackets any idea on how much power it will handle before splitting?

Depends, are you spraying it and how much? With a good tune on the spray--1000 or a little more. With a bad tune---550. With a turbo set up--1200 plus if your good. It won't split though, its not a 302.
