I have a 454 engine in my daily driver truck.i bought it used at least 10 yrs ago and it has worked out well for me.i have no exact idea whay year engine it is but its either late 80s or early 90s.i only put about 10 k on it in a year.it originally had a tbi intake on it and peanut port heads.i kept the heads but put an edelbrock performer intake and a 670 holley on it.the intake was a bad match for the tiny heads but it has worked out ok because I don't push this engine really at all.i never knew what spark plugs to buy for it and have always bought ac r44t.i see that around 92 there is a different plug recommended cr43ts.is there any advantage to running this plug?the only problem ive ever had with this engine is if it sits for 2 days or more without starting it cranks and cranks until it finally fires.ive checked and the carb is squirting gas as this happens so I guess its electrical.would these cr43ts plugs help?
