Just wondering if i am heading in the right direction with a 406 sb that i am putting together.
Dart little m block
Callies dragon slayer crank
eagle 6.125 rods
je 1 inch comp height pistons
14.2 compression
isky solid roller 282/290 duration @ .050
.704/.689 lift with 1.5 rockers (jesel shaft)
109 lobe center
dart pro one 230 cc (mild port clean up)
motown intake
825 race demon carb

Any horsepower estimates and at what rpm is kind of what i am trying to get an idea of. I am a little worried about the size of the cam but that what Isky sold sooooo. Any advice or experience with a simaler setup would be greatly appreciated.

Spray????????

I would smaller cam on that lobe center but if it were a 106 it would be fine and thats would I would prefer

IMO a Crane custom or Lunati 50132 would be great here
50132
317/330 @.020" 283/291 @.050" .680"/632" 106 installed at 106 ICL

Peak HP I would gyess about 6800-7000rpm unless you have alot of work done to the heads.

Is the plenum milled on the Motown??????? Dr. J's has a good program on that intake but that intake is expensive off the shelf (~$300). You will see how our runners appear to be closer to the carb pad than OTS intake

Other than what I mentioned looks like a great bracket engine. The 825 is a good choice or 1000 annular

Cam is installed @ 105 that was iskys recommendation was 4 to 6 degrees of advance. No spray on this one. What kind of gains are typical of getting the intake worked over like that ?

More gains in doing the heads and manifold with some one like Dr. J's Performance or Speier Racing Heads

It is a small base circle cam. Going in a 3200 pound car with a turbo 350 and 4500 stall. 4.56 rear gear 27 inch tall tire. Iwas hoping to put the car in the high 10's at 4500 in elevation. It seems like i would need about 600 horsepower to get this done not sure if what i've got will make that or not. Was going to use 112 octane fuel. at this point there is not a trans brake in the car, but with the 327 i used to run in the car and a 150 shot it did 1.51 60 foot times, 11.60 quater times. i just hope i am going to end up with enough na horsepower to get it into the 10's
