Finally getting back to 449 Cleveland. 4.055 x4.35. Chi 4v heads with some grinding. Old school ur19 with dual 6464 carbs. Last combo made [email protected] Scaled duration back on this cam to match my heavy tub a little better. With the bigger bore we were able to get rid of popup pistons for cp flats. Will be interesting.

Thanks guys. Best run to date is [email protected] Car has all factory glass and interior. Factory am/fm still works. I broke crank late year before last and it’s been on back burner. Just picked up new molnar rotating assembly. This will bump cubes from 438. We reconfigured camshaft as i was running a old crane roller 727 lift and [email protected] Hoping to get big girl out of gate. I use 10 inch slick in stock fenderwell with slide-a-link bars.

Lol. That guy is good friend. He was just trying to dial nos in on 302 but didn’t quite get it figured. He would have narrowed the gap.

Cc.’d heads this morning. 61cc. So with flat top we looking at 13.3:1 just about right.

77 400 block 4.055 bore
Grouted to 1” below deck
Splayed 4 bolt main caps on center 3
Stock caps on outer two.
bushed lifter bores
Mpg cam and roller lifters
Flat top cp pistons for 13.3:1
Chi 4v heads severely massaged
Molnar 4.35crank
Molnar 6.8 h-beam
Melling hv pump
Crane wide bodied rockers. 1.73
Jomar girdle
Smith Bros 3/8 .135 wall pushrods
Home built pan buy outlaw marine jets
17/8 header to two inch primary. 3.5 collector
1970 era ur19 tunnel ram
Dual 70 era 6464 1050’s.

Dyno date may 26. Old combo had 4.050x4.25 and 14:1. [email protected] and .727 lift. 703hp. Hopefully we get close. We are hoping to get more tq through mid to get heavy ol girl moving. Our da doesn’t help here typically 4500+.
We added lift shortened duration and moved lobe sep to 106 and give it 4* advance 🤷🏻See what that does. I know one thing when you tell people its a old 400 they think im fibbing!!lol
