I have an option in front of me to buy a Darton sleeved LS7 block that will need to go 4.195/4.200 bore to clean up. I am considering this for my NA pump gas build, so 8000rpm/800hp appx and long top end pulls. Opinion on cyl wall strength is welcome and wanted. Thanks!

Gas Rim Auto part Machine Circle

Yep (y), just got them.

I know what you are saying on the bore size. I need to lay eyes on the block and see if they are wet or dry sleeves. I have blocks waiting to get shipped to RED, but if I can get a deal on this and be on the road that much faster, why not. I just want to know fully what I am getting into with this block before I drop coin.

You still gunna run a twin TB set up? Word on the street is, they work ; )

🤔 regular dry sleeve isn't recommended for going to the point of, Or more than what your thinkin.
4.200 dry sleeve is a No Go... can it go that far? Yes but it'll be thin. 4.190 - 4.195 is about as Far as Steve told me on memory with Any Ls dry sleeve. I even asked about using the spray on (wire-arc cylinder liners) used with the 5.4 gt 500 aluminum block with aluminum sleeves. As To go with more bore which be a thinner sleeve.
If a person would like a 4.200 bore that means:
Dart Aluminum sleeved block or Dart iron block
Steve designed the Dart sleeve to go to 4.220 both blocks I believe.

At 4.220 or more the head gaskets get thin to be considered reliable for Daily use.

From Steve...😉

I have a 4.190 bore resleeved alum 5.3 and while it can go 4.20" I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be with it. .010" additional overbore is about the thickness of a horse hair which IMO is quite a lot! The sleeves are supposedly 3x stronger than factory sleeves.
