anyone have a part number for a dart or other steel sbc 350 style block...?
An SHP block will with a 2.120 cam tunnel and using a BBC cam core as you are .020 smaller then a 50 MM cam journal. Also it been proven that their is more power to be gained with babbit bearings over roller bearings.

Also Dart offers the SHP Pro block which comes with all 4 bolt billet caps and studs, BBC cam tunnel and.904 lifter bores which is 300.00 more then the standard SHP block.

But if you want a 50 MM roller cam we are set up to blue print bore the cam tunnel in the SHP, and Little-M blocks.

On the SHP block going to a 2.283 tunnel we have to open the oil holes up feeding to the mains as it does break through so we would go to a 5/16 hole so there will be no restriction.

And can you get that Little-M pro series with the 50mm tunnel and babbit bearings?
That same housing bore for the roller cam bearings 2.283 is the same bore you would use for the babbit 55MM cam bearings.

There is no such thing as a 50MM babbit bearing that I am a where of!!!

So the BBC core size with a babbit bearing would be the largest you could use?

The BBC cam journal is only .021 smaller then a 50MM cam journal, The BBC cam jounal size seems to be pretty popular with the SHP blocks and the 010 blocks!!
