We use the term, "some people can brake a anvil with a plastic hammer" lol..Some of the longevity issues depend on the machine work, how the engine is mounted, the tune and so on. Some people can break cannonballs with wet spaghetti, others can screw some shit together that is near indestructible.
Good advice.BUY A NEW BOSS BLOCK ....... DON'T WASTE ALL UR internal or your car..When I bottom END COMES OUT OF THE BLOCK AN OIL'S DOWN THE TRACK ...just my opinion .
Funny, yet true. The whole Mexican block thing is like calling one retard smarter than the other retard. I completely understand budget concerns but It's painful to keep seeing this come up over and over on the internet.
Don't hard block anything. It'll keep it from splitting, but your ring seal will be horrendous. Or at least you'll see the cylinders will never stay round.I think hardblock makes a big difference. But thats just me

I am a die hard 8.2" Deck guy. If I was going to build one for the Ky. limited series, I would be searching hell and high water for a boss 302 block. The one with the 4 bolt mains.
Best of luck with the "El Hecho"
