those cars only pick up about 50mph on average in the last 1/8th mile. on their faster runs they do pick up more. they are already going well over 250 at the eighth. racing to 1000' is not the answer.
They are anywhere from 270-285 at the 1/8th actually depending on the altitude and weather.

The answer is to eliminate Nitro all together go methanol only and let everybody go at it. Nobody seems to be talking about the fact that there is still a shortage of nitro and they can't even test because they can't get it.
They already have a sportsman class for that. Will never happen in Pro TF or FC.

There isn't a shortage of nitro. There is a limited supply from the NHRA exclusive supplier, not from global supply.
