We are going to have a 275 race at MIR on September 14

I want to see what you guys think about adding the STOCK FRAME RAIL, LADDER BAR cars into the mix. They would be on 275 tires and have to get a weight penelty 100 lbs? 150 lbs?

1. 3100 lbs NOS combos and 2700lbs N/A combos
2. Stock Suspension, door car or truck
3. Small Block only
4. 275/60 Drag Radial Tire
5. Nitrous Combos only
6. Must have mufflers
7. Progressives ok
8. 7531 ok
9. Frame notch ok, no back half cars
10. Fiberglass ok
11. Lexan ok
12. Coil Overs ok
13. Mini Tubs ok
14. No wheelie bars

1/8th mile and a Quick 8/16 format with a Pro Ladder and Pro Tree

I talked with Kenny, Shawn Murphy, and Tim Savoy at MIR today and the 14th is a good date for them. Marc with the Nova was at a TNT at Colonial Beach Friday and wrecked the car but will be ready as soon as he can get some parts for a 1970 Nova. I also talk with Chris and him and Shelly Smith are good for the 14th and the 27th.

I say yes to the guys that have coil overs and ladder bars just as long as the stock frame rails are in the car. make them add 150pds 3250 the more cars the better. Just my 2cents because i have stock sus. anyway!! Keep it a small block NOS class

I thought it was 3000lbs, i dont khow how they can get them that light....

I'd like to see 3000lbs on a 275's. just my thoughts.

keep up the good work , i think this is going to take off.
We were hoping on getting some 3rd and 4th gen camaro's out there and for the most part they are well over 3200 lbs.

John,You should allow Blowers & turbos with NO water to air IC,just to see how many show up-never know it may help the car count!!! There are a few guys that run 8.50 index @ Cecil w/NO IC(But they are NOT on 275's- thats NOT a problem to change though)

Chris I didn't want to steal cars from the MSRA race that's being run on the same day.

That would NOT happen John, the guys Iam thinking of live in Delaware anyways & have never been to a MSRA race!! I don't even know who would show(For Turbos & blowers)-but I think limiting it will hurt-I too beleive this is gonna take off & the way this DR stuff is going I may be redoing my car to fit somewhere else very soon!!

If your worrying about their(MSRA)rules-let the water to airs in @ 3400lbs.!!! I'll come & play defintely!!!

The extra wieght in the right place could be an advantage to get the 275s to hook up! I dont see any problem with car counts the way the rules are.
