Jason,

I searched and I "think" I need the L8 compound with the stiff sidewall. Can you confirm? Thanks.

98 mustang
3040 w/ driver
5spd tranny (3.37 1st gear)
8.8 w/ 4.56's
low hp car 320rwhp (n/a 4.6 lol)
Launch rpm between 6600-7100
Track prep average to above average.

I think you are right on the borderline where either tire would work just fine. Personally, I do like the stiff sidewall with a clutch car to help the tire keep it's shape, and rotated often, they should last longer.

Thanks for asking,

Thanks Jason. Just found out that the stiff sidewall tires only come in an M5 compound. I'd like to have the L8 compound on the contact patch cause its softer. How much of a difference is there between the M5 and L8?

Oh and my tires were made in 0907. lol. Ya I guess I'm due for a new set.
