I am trying to wire in the 2 step with a clutch switch. My question is on the ground wire going back to the computer I was going to use a ground input. Do I need to have that wire grounded to the chassis before the computer to avoid damaging it or do I just use the ground input on the Holley to do the grounding of the relay?

Your question is confusing. Are you wiring a Holley ECU? Dominator or HP? If so, the ECU has 2step built in. You don't add a 2step such as MSD, just a ground input from your clutch switch and configure ECU.
