Car is a1970 Ford Capri that i bought a little while back and
now have desided to put a LS motor in it.

Engine
Its a LM7 5.3L,keeping it stock for now until i get it up and running,then
i will add a s475 turbo and some other bits to the motor,nothing to crazy as i have to drive it every day but we all know how long
that lasts haha :D.

Trans
2 speed with a T/B,JW bell,3500 convertor ,b&m deep pan.

Rear
9" 31 billets,3.5s,detriot looker 275 M/T

That is a real cool build. I had a '76 capri in high school and recently thought about building a drag car out of one, as I have never seen a drag version of a Capri. Good luck with the build.

Yeah that Capri is a lot different than the '70s Capris here in the USA. Cool build.

Thanks for tne complements guys :D,motor mounts are
almost done to a point were the cross member can come out
and be tigged up and braced to the mounts.Using the truck mounts for now and when the turbo
get's fitted i will put a mid and front plate on it then.

stevieturbo,that pan looks like it would do the job for many apps.


The oil pan is off a create motor and its rear sump,thought it
was a gto pan,maybe not maybe Holden ve :confused:
Anyway still waiting for it to show up:smt015

Have seen the holley pan but dont know much about them
how well thay fit and work ?
Theres somthing about a factory
pans that i like,its i know thay work and fit well to the motor.

Looking good Bretto........ You finally scored an LM7 i see. Where did you end up getting it from?

Guy in sydney's got a bunch of them there pre 05 so not the
good rods and stuff but for what iam doing it's ok.

Hows yours going??

The Autokraft certainly isnt the prettiest. But it's simple, it holds around 7 litres, it is well baffled internally and mounts the filter as per original. Many aftermarket sumps like Canton, Moroso etc require a remote filter to be added.
Plus if there is any welding required to alter it's shape, welding steel is very easy.

I had a couple of Camaro aluminium sumps welded before and they both warped like a banana.

Thats good to hear you got one finally....... Is this guy asking drug money for them or is he reasonable in price?

Ive been trying to finish off my ladder bar set up in mine which hant given me much time to spend in the engine bay..... i'll get there slowly.

Keep the pics coming though......
