I am turning the big tire 68 camaro I bought into a 7.00 heads up car. It is backhalved and tubbed, and had 14x32 slicks on a 15" wheel.

I took the big tires off, and dropped down to a Mickey Thompson 29.5 x 11.5

What we are seeing is a high spot on the slicks at lower air pressure. At around 13lb+ it starts to flatten out the slicks.

So I figured out the back spacing and trying to get a new set of wheels before this weekend.

but I'm guessing thats why 15" wheels are not reccomended for smaller than a 14" tire because of this reason?

I am going back with a 12" wheel with 3" of backspacing and 1" wheel spacers.
