Just change the battery...

If you are using a stock ECM or something you might double check to make sure it's Ok, but normally everything is fine. They also make dual voltage batteries (12v - 16v) with multiple terminals.

i heard the dual voltage batteries are a no no because it drains some cells more then others, and its best to use a step down box,
not saying it wont work, just not recommended

Yes rock is a brand. It's what every NASCAR team used for years until the really lightweight stuff came out ^^^^^^^. You can spend anywhere from $200-2000.

all 12 v altenators charge at 13.5-14ish volt why wouldnt i change alt also?
i believe you ditch the alternator
i believe S_Mike was making the point that with a 16V battery an alt is not required if you do the between round maintenance charge, however if its a street car deal or something along those line you would need to change the alternator
although i have been wrong:confused:
