I bought this car in 1983 out of a field for $500 bucks for the registration for the one I had at 16 in high school, So I had it stored at my uncle's (Roger), he then built it in the mid / late 80's to what you see here. Both of my uncles (Roger & Gary) are the reason I race today, It was all I ever wanted to do since I could walk. Long story short, they have both have passed, Gary in 2013 and Roger in 2015. I was finally able to purchase the car from my Aunt this past July (6 days before our Empire Dragway Nostalgia Gold Cup race). It had sat out side apart since Oct 2014. Myself & my son put her back together, I bought a 355 sbC from a guy I know, put our back up PG in, cleaned her up and went racing, With my son driving he won the very first race out. Then proceed to win Pro ET 2 weeks later in it when his 80' Malibu Wagon broke during time trials, he went from 4 to first in points that night, almost won the run off for the Summit Super Series track representative, He was to amped up and went red. We will be running the car all next year at Empire Dragway in the Gasser Racing Series races along with the 9th annual Gold Cup race.
