History
Built in 1976 by Des Moines Iowa businessman Dave Shafer for the AHRA Small Block Nitrous Pro Stock wars. Eventually ran 8.03/171 with 351 Cleveland power. Dave was the second guy to buy a Lenco transmission (was supposed to be first, but they gave it to a Grumpy little guy). Car still has Small block Ford Power and Lenco, races in Nostalgia Pro Stock and Ozark Mountain Super Shifters Stick shift series.

Modifications

Drivetrain
427 inch Aluminum block, Yates head, Hogan intake, dual 1050 DaVinci Dominators. 826 hp at 7900 and 604 ft lb at 7000. Black Magic Clutches Nex Gen clutch, Lenco CS-3 5 speed with titanium gear sets. Carbon fiber driveshaft, aluminum 9" carrier, 5.43, 5.83 or 6.00 gears.
Interior
8.03/171 in the nitrous days.
8.30/160 currently normally aspirated.
Exterior
Steel roof and quarters, glass front end and doors, Lexan windows.
Audio
Dave Shafer built - 2x3 rails, 4 link, Lamb struts, MW axles.
Suspension
4 link by Dave Shafer. 9" Ford.
Wheel and Tire
Weld beadlocks and Weld fronts will be replaced this year with polished Super Tricks.
