Default LS 4X cam sync for Jesel belt drive...

I made this to go an a Jesel Cam drive for a LS engine but Iím not sure if I should just it. Itís for using a 4X GM cam sync, and that part will work, but as you can see it will not be balanced... Anybody else got any thoughts on this?

I ended up not using it because I went with a Holley ECU and you can run a 2X cam sync with a 58 tooth reluctor but I do get calls from time to time from folks looking for something like this...

Clay, that looks nice. Could it not be balanced? If you would leave some material in the rear of those small ends or maybe some threaded bungs and you should be able to screw in the necessary weight to balance it out. Also should it not have some sort of key slot or something like that to prevent it from slipping? Or second thought, just drill thru it and into the jesel cam sprocket and add a pin. Just a few thoughts....

Why not take a stock gear and cut it up and adapt it? Its recessed on the back so it will be balanced. That's what I did for my 4v Cobra using stock GM pcm.

That's a 2X and Jesel makes those. And you need to put a receiver in it for the Jesel Cam gear for it to center and hold... Pic below.

I posted a back side pic in the above post. The Jesel cam gear has a key way and my trigger wheel goes into the gear just like the original Jesel washer so it won't move once you torque down the bolt that goes into the Cam adaptor... It's holds it just like the Jesel part does.

As for the balancing, I even wonder if it matters. It's not that heavy and it's at a reduced speed being on the cam.... Hmmmmm.

Now that you have a picture of you holding it one can now realize it's size. In the first picture I visualized it to be about the same size of the Jesel cam sprocket. Heck that's way small and I agree with you Clay I don't see balancing as going to be a problem. Nice work....
