Default Project Snow Coyote - 1964 Fairlane 500 Coyote Swap - Take 2

***So Photobucket decided to hold everyone's photos hostage for third party links, so the old build thread has been killed. (Old Thread Here) I moved the photos to Amazon and will be hosting through them. I'm recreating the build here so people actually see the photos.***

Introducing Project Snow Coyote - a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop Coyote swap. It started as a basic stock Fairlane with a small block 289 and a C4 with some minor modifications to the top end of the block. I had previously done some work in adding subframe connectors, replacing floor pans, sealing interior, new carpet, adding stereo, front disc brakes, etc. The C4 kept on giving me grief with a persistent leak despite two rebuilds. A plan for replacing the C4 turned into replacing the transmission, engine, front suspension, rear suspension, exhaust, brakes, etc. Basically the entire drivetrain and then some. The idea was to keep it fairly stock looking, however, with a little bit of stance to it.

99%+ of the fabrication and build work is being performed by CHE Performance in Girard, PA. Great shop and owner. Highly recommended. Tuning and swap advice from Powerhouse Automotive. Body and paint by Conneaut Collision.

Here is a summary of changes:

Custom CHE Independent Front Suspension
Tubular Upper and Lower A-arms
Fabricated Front Crossmember
Tubular Shock Tower Brace
Tubular Subframe Connectors
Rack and Pinion Steering
Coilover Shocks

Custom CHE Rear Suspension

Coilover Shocks
2 Mini-Tub

Drivetrain
5.0L 4V Coyote Crate Engine
Tremec TKO 5-Speed Transmission
Custom Dual Air Inlet
Custom Aluminum Fuel Tank
Stainless Steel Fuel Lines
Aluminum Radiator
Custom 2-Fan Shroud
Modified Engine Cover
4 Aluminum Driveshaft
Moser Fab-9 Axle
Hydraulic Clutch

Brakes
Wilwood 4-Piston Front and Rear Calipers
Drilled/Slotted Rotors
Wilwood Master Cylinder
Custom Stainless Brake Lines

Exhaust
Modified, Ceramic Coated Headers
Custom CHE Stainless Exhaust
Custom CHE X-Pipe
Borla Pro-XS Mufflers

Interior
CHE 4-Point Harness Bar
Vintage Air Magnum A/C Unit
Custom Underdash A/C Vent Panel
Custom A/C Control Panel
Speedhut Gauges and Shift Light

Wiring by CHE Performance

Paint and Body
Wimbledon White Single Stage
Body and Paint by Conneaut Collision
Suspension Powder Coated by CHE

A couple more things that I can't think of right now...?

Where we started:

A finished product pic. It may look like not a ton has changed - wheel and tire package and stance. As you'll see in this thread, a ton changed. That's why Chuck at CHE calls it the plain white wrapper.

It's gonna take me a while to recreate this, so bear with me...

Back in 2012, before CHE got a hold of it, my brother and I had redone the interior. Here's a brief tour of that project:

Stripped the interior:

Replaced some floor pans:

Added some subframe connectors:

Sealed it up with some KBS Rust Seal:

and put in some new carpet:

You have to click on the pic in amazon photos so that it enlarges, then right click on the pic and "copy image address". Use that link in your post.

Now for the good stuff. CHE Performance designed a custom Coyote crossmember for the Fairlane, which they are turning into a IFS Kit for the 62-65 Fairlanes. There are also plans to make a kit for first generation Mustangs.

Snow Coyote/Fairlane belongs to my brother. I'll get a hold of him and have him reload the pics. I was able to drive the car this past summer... Freaking unreal. Chuck from CHE Performance knows how to do Coyote swaps!!
