Default 376" LS3 build... kind of surprised me

Over the past several months I've been working in my spare time putting together an LS3 out of mostly spare parts. Basically seeing what I could do on a budget. Used a stock block, stock crank, used rods, small dome piston, stock casting heads, and 455 lobe nitrous grind cam. Ported on the heads off and on when I had time, and bought some used titanium valves off ebay and cut & regrooved them. Had some used stud mount rocker arms that I fit to the heads (which took an unnecessary about of machining to make fit) and made some stud girdles. Bought a used super victor manifold that I hacked up and ground holes all in (splash zone to the rescue). In the end, I was more than happy with the results. My goal was 700hp peak at 8000rpm. I was pleasantly surprised when I surpassed that by almost 100hp. Ended up making 790hp @8400 and 554tq @ 6400. Started having some high rpm oil pressure issues so I cut the session short. Gonna change some stuff and shoot for 820hp next go-around. I think it's attainable with some work.

Posted a vid in the dyno sticky but here it is again. It's one of the first pulls we made. Didn't get any of the good ones

Nice E.R. !!!! This is a great example of what some forward thinking can do! Well thought out and executed and a simple parts roster. Love the high winders...nice job! Johnny

what makes that a nitrous grind cam?

What would an NA cam do for it?

Valve events are different. If I was to change cams, I would take a little duration out of it, and change the valve events. It's peaking a little higher than I wanted. Not sure what that would do... hopefully help it but who knows.

Thanks. Can you share some details on the heads? Valve sizes, area, flow, whatever?
What size headers were used?
