Default New Edelbrock BBF race BV3 head

I spoke with edelbrock about the new 4.900 Ford head. 2.600" intake valve 11 degree cast head. 615cfm at 1.00".

Looks like an awesome head

Can you ask them when the Chevy BV3 might go into production? They had it at the 2012 PRI show, and it is still not available.

Looking forward to seeing them myself. Where are they supposed to fit in the line up? Better than A or C heads?

Maybe the Edelbrock's new BBF head will get released right after AFR's BBF head. The AFR BBF head was going to be released summer 2014 then slipped to December 2014, looks like it's time for a new mystery release date again for AFR.

I have a good set of 4.84" bore space 11* BV3 castings, .. be willing to build them

Not trying to upset the very close friends I've made at that company, ... but I just can't believe how screwed up things are.
Several months trying to get castings they've made for years, ... and of course announcing something then taking years to get to market.
How could ANY business survive that???

The best program that company ever came up with is the pro port raw. Everyone and their brother has
a 5 axis cnc these days. Supplying that market is the best business direction I can see.
But there can't be an ounce of success if they don't hold up their end.

Seems like they are just trying to do everything instead of doing a few things well.

Rant off ;-)

Same here, had a few asking us to build one with these heads. Looks like we gonna have to look somewhere else eventually.

It's easy to build 4.9" bore space on a Dart block, ...
moved lifters, ... and DRCE2 heads.
Have done a bunch of these.

Heads are a little higher priced though.

Surely someone has dyno'ed some prototypes, made they didn't live up to expectations, or maybe they are to good and they didn't want to piss the chevy guys off.
