Default Duramax WTR pump Whine

I just put a new water pump on my LBZ and it has the dreaded whine at 1600 rpm and up do I really need to replace the pump again?

I have 120,000 on mine I pulled the radiator and intercooler out at the same time to clean them both used my 1/2 impact came off like butter and used it to reinstall hard to believe with only three bolts holding it on the block that they had to put the one behind the dampener.

Buddy of mine has a diesel shop and curses every time one comes in for a water pump...lol. He says putting a breaker bar up against the frame and using the starter works most of the time to break the bolt loose. Good to know some one had a good experience with it.
