Can I use an American electrical appliance in Australia?

Mains voltage in Australia is 230V 50Hz. Travellers from most nations in Asia, Africa and Europe should have appliances that work on the same mains voltage as Australia - therefore you will not need a voltage converter. Notable exceptions to this are Japan, USA and Canada which uses 100/120V 50/60Hz.

hey man sorry for late reply .....life and all you know get in the way haha

I set the welder to 130 amps and control with a foot pedal,no pulse on my machine but if i get hung up or to far out of position i pulse the pedal manually to give me time to adjust my torch angle.

your right 50 hrtz here and 240 v or 415 v 3 phases
