Your going to need a pump to return the oil from the turbo if it stays down there.

Made a shifter handle that uses a stock BMW knob. The typical round ball people use just looks out of place in the BMW interior. Now have a working throttle and clutch. Turbo manifold fab next week.

I really dig the intentional stock interior appearance. Please say you intend to keep it as much under wraps as possible appearance wise when its all done!

That's the plan. Black intercooler, super quiet exhaust with two 18" resonators and a full size muffler out back. Should look and sound like a stock car with a bad idle valve.

Problem number one arose. E32 750il diff showed up today. Uses a 210mm ring gear vs the medium case 188mm. I was greeted to the cleanest fucking junk yard part I've ever seen. Bad news, it's a fucking open diff, despite being sold as an LSD. Hopefully the yard will make it right and it won't result in a CC dispute.

Started turbo fab stuff. The drivers side is a bit of a bitch but nothing too crazy. Will be able to drop the wg tube between the compressor and turbine housings and dump it right into the downpipe.

Gauge pod from Ortiz Custom Pods came today. They modify OE dash pieces for gauge mounting. Looks pretty good and was $80 shipped, no core. Gauge is a VEI dual function a/f and boost. Red illumination and all black when off.

Do you lose use of the AC vent that was in that spot? If not, what was there or was it just blank?

Yes, that vent just gets lost. It won't have a/c, just heat anyway. I usually keep it on the feet and windshield. I'm not a fan of hot air in the face. Here it is test fit.

It's a white car! Doesn't get that hot. The turbo sits where the a/c compressor would go. Packaging is enough fun as is.
