My ports on my heads have been opened to a 1262R gasket but the water port opening is to big , i need the opening to be the shape like a 1262 gasket, any idea what part # that is

Flatout 8350 might be an option. Maybe check with them about the water port dimensions.

I don't get it. Doesn't the 1262R gasket still contact both the head and the intake faces around the water port?

Not on my heads, the water port opening on the gasket is bigger then water port on my heads

I thought about taking some gasket material and silicone it in place and see what happens

If I remember right , its that way on my sbc . Port on the block and heads are smaller than the gasket opening .

I don't think you understood my question.

Even if the 1262R gasket opening is LARGER then your head water port opening, it should still contact the both the intake and cylinder surface around the perimeter of the gasket. It doesn't matter if there is a void, as long as the gasket has solid on both sides to seal. I use a trick flow gasket that is similar and it works just fine.
