So HE'S one of the guys I have to "thank" for my Hemi fetish! I first saw the "Mutt Bros." when they were streetracing their primered HemiDart (old S&K car I think) and seeing that thing under a freeway overpassrattling windows in the dead of winter impressed the Hell out of me. Back then it wasn't uncommon for some of the best P/S cars to do a little streetracing in the Winter & the Mutt Bros. weren't the only P/S drivers I saw out near Kennedy Airport.

Here is a car little known in the world of drag racing but was a terror in the midwest winning the UDRA pro stock championship in 1971running a best of 9.68 @ 142 mph with.
It started life as an original 68 Z-28 then set up to run pro stock in 1970. We converted car to a 69 body by changing all the body panels which included the dash due to the two year rule mandated by NHRA.
If any body knows of a ol' 69 Camaro laying around with 68 title I sure would like to know about it. The car was last known to be on the north east side of Detroit about fifteen years ago..

I was wondering if someone was going to bring up the UDRA. Pretty darn good racing in that group. The Gillings Brothers built the motor for my '57 Chevy in '69, and we went racing with them several times when they were running their Camaro.
