Hey guys, I'm from Oregon but I remember in '76 my cousin took me to the Winston points meet at Woodburn Dragstrip. My cousin had a friend that knew Mark and Brad Yuill from Nevada. They each had Camaros at the time and I remember they had big blocks and stock type dashes that were airbrushed. I was 13 and remember metal studs in the trunk area standing vertical with round weights on them. It was the first time I ever saw a Pro/Stock car run and it was as impressive as 240 Gordie and Jerry Ruth running. The days of Modified Production and my cousins friend had a C/SM that would rev to the moon.

This is the best thread so far this year! Love the old stuff, did not know Grump raced a big block Monza. Wild! Keep the pic's & story's coming. Wish more of these old race cars were around.
