My wife and I have discussed this, if either one of us is in that state we both agree to end it.

We’ve had those discussions also.

Right to life typically is referring to beginning of life not the end......

We have what has to be the absolute dumbest law up here. You can make all the arrangements you want, but when it comes time to pull the plug, the person at deaths door must have their wits about them. Yup, it would be illegal to pull the plug on that vegetable lying in the bed, because she/he must be fully cognizant in order to make that decision at that particular time. Libtards and their laws.

Not sure what part of Canada you are in but just last year we pulled the plug on Mom.
She had a living will and named my sister and I to make decisions for her. When we came to a decision it was a short meeting with the Doctor and he agreed it was her wishes and best for her. No problem that she was not responsive at that time.
That's in BC

While I 100% agree with you....100%....by that stance every hand out whether it financial or through service would need to stop across the board. Which I am also good with.

BTW there is no way I could look at a brain dead loved one that long.

It is, but the group that saved the 61 year old woman in my opening post from having the plug pulled is called exactly that - Right To Life. That's why I referenced it.

I don't know if that woman is in a persistent vegetative state or if she's brain dead. Sounds like she's PVS. If so, that hospital is legally obligated to keep her alive unless a DNR or some court orders otherwise. Maybe it should be called 'Legal Right To Life', but it's a right, nonetheless.

Wife and I both have wills and living wills so kids know what to do,anyone who doesn't is a selfish prick that puts the inevitable on their family.
