The price of the hood should have given you some kind of an idea of the quality. When eveyone elses product is double or more; why are his hoods so cheap? You see now...

Always remember you get what you pay for on fiberglass. I use to see this guy sell hoods all day at the track. The guys would walk buy my ho fibertrend hoods and I could see completely thru their just bought cheap ass champion hoods. I sold a used quite a few HO's with zero problems

I recently bought a few Kaenen hoods. I bought a 6" extended cowl hood that fit perfectly and was simple to prep for paint. They are a little hard to get ahold of, but definitely worth the wait. Champion hoods always sell out at the shows, but it's only because of the prices. I'd rather pay 3x's the price to get a decent hood.

My body guy said the same thing when he fitted my 4" cowl from HO. It was also packed very well for shipping.

Well, I called Mark at champion hoods this morning because I didn't see any credit of 125$ that he said he would do on 10/4/11. Mysteriously he said he couldn't find my order to credit it back Hummmm. I told him that I didn't want the hood and would ship it back freight collect. He said that he didn't want
the hood back . So then I I told him that I filed a claim with my credit card company and that I want to send the hood back. Well Oh Mark said he didnt want the hood and for me to take it up with my credit card company and hung up on me.
I guess when he come's down hear for the snow bird national at Bradenton fl
I will tell him face to face what an a-- hole he is

I had the same problems with a 4" cowl hood for a 91 Camaro purchased from Champion. Yours looks like it fits better than mine. It's a complete piece of shit. Unfortunately I paid cash for mine, so I have to eat it. Never again.

I am not defending the hood guy, but somr of the real light body syuff for circle track is kind if fragile and gets broken alot in transit.

Thanks for posting up the thread. Even though I had heard all of this in the past, the price was starting to temp me in my search for a new hood.

Sorry about your experience.
