No need to pony up for a real one, I have noticed lots of knock-offs on Ebay that are fairly inexpensive. Just my .02 cents.

My base coat work horse is a Binks M1-G and I love it. I'm on my second one. The first one I used so much, rebuilt it once and used it so much I literally wore it out. Bought a second one, and now have rebuilt that one already. The first one lasted 15 years of heavy use. This second one should last longer, because I run the shop now,...only painting on special projects.

I happen to have a pristine set of '292' heads, I believe they are the very rare 'Turbo' head, well, this is the only set I've ever seen other than the pics of them in Grumpy's book.

292's are the "turbo" heads. 1st or 2nd design? They may be "rare" in your area. Around Chicago, they come up for sale quite often. I have 2 sets, one of each design. The 1st design were prone to cracks.

Try the strip dominator, you may like it. I have a strip dominator that was ported to match the 292's.

I'll give the guy a call and see if he still has it. I was planning to have the plenum modified like this:

From what I read, it's supposed to help the drivability. We drive our cars a lot, so that's an important consideration.

I remember when Sonny Leonard would drive a van and set up at national events selling intakes modified like this and displayed them on a table he'd set up at the van. Barry Grant drove a station wagon and would be beside him.
Those were the days.
