Default Seam sealers adhesives

There have been many questions on what to use on sealing floors, trunks, or wheel tubs.

I've been using DOW U418 urethane window adhesive in a regular caulk tube for under 10 bucks a tube. Goes on nice and self levels.

Loctite PL3X Adhesive works great for $5.00 a tube, probably a bit more flexible then the urethane window sealer.

One thing I recommend is to think about whether what you are caulking is going to be painted or not. Many sealers, like silicone based but not just those, are not paintable. Paint will repel from them as you're applying it, or will just flake off later if it does cover in the first place.

Yes Frank the Dow can be primed or painted. I would post pics if this site was more user friendly.
