Default Obd2 scanner

I know there are a few posts here about this but the market keeps changing for these. Mine does not even offer updates anymore. What would be the most capable scanner on the market in the $300 or less range. Bi-directional controls, module or key/ remote programming, abs, srs ect.... Just looking for the best scanner ( most features) a weekend mechanic can have without spending thousands of dollars which will last for years to come. I know even the most expensive stuff does not always do what is needed. There are so many brands and models. Where to start? It does not matter which type PC, Android or hand held. Most of the work will be on American vehicles. Thank you.

No way your going to get bi-directional control or key programming for 300 bucks. A TPMS tool costs more than that.

Get yourself a BlueDriver and call it a day. 100 bucks on Amazon. Free updates too.
Mine paid for itself right out of the box.
No bi-directional or ABS but it does great for what it is.
