Im considering swapping the fan around to the back side to draw air from the engine bay vs the 6" of dead air behind the fiberglass.
I use a factory grill with a lexan cover to deflect bugs and stones on the street. I just added the pusher fans to go along with the pullers this year.

When I try and turn it up those little bugs show their ugly faces. (trans problems) My goal with it is to eventually run in the high 6's at over 200mph in the 1/4 mile. So far it hasn't been easy to creep up on it but it sure has been fun!

A couple of guys who work for me were there and they were very impressed. I'd love to see that beast in person. SUPER nice looking car! What is the chassis spec? and what tire do you run?

My buddy Dean's house is only a couple of miles from the track and we do all our work on both cars at his shop. I'm there in the evenings regularly working on one or the other of our two cars.

Shoot me a PM next time you plan to go to Jackson. I'll try and stop in.

Default 93LX Coupe, twin GT4708 (80mm) turbos

Here's a few pics of the twins going on in place of my old single 94mm setup.

Dean made the center of the radiator support removable. One bolt on top and one in front on each side.

Turbos with the support removed. Easy access to the oil fittings on the turbos.

I had initially planned to re-route the inlet pipe out of the engine compartment over the right front tire out in the fender well and go in through the firewall just behind the shock tower. However, I didn't realize there was a bar tieing the A-Pillar bar of the roll cage to the under side of the shock tower in the spot I'd planed to run the intercooler pipe through.

So rather than remove the bar, or go in through the cowl, I elected to use the existing route through the firewall from the old 94mm setup.

This is as far as I've gotten to this point.

The merge of the two 3" pipes into a 4" was done by cutting V's in the top of the lower pipe and bottom of the upper pipe and spreading the 3 inch pipe(s) out to form two half 4" diameters. Lots of work with a light weight body hammer and an anvil. Fit was perfect. Super tight. But contamination from the body hammer screwed up the welds. I've cut out the hand formed section and I'm replacing it with some cone shaped 4" to 3" aluminum cone reducers from Burns Stainless.

When it's done there will be an individual Big Red ProCharger BOV for each turbo.

I've also added a Gary Markwich lower valence, which will be painted to match before the car comes back out.

Here's a link to all the pics anyone could want of the car through it's various phases over the 3 years I've owned it.

An updated pic of the TA from a couple weeks back

We have cleaned it up more since this pic, and still have more to do.

Thanks! It has a way to go until it is as nice as we like, but we have been more concerned with making it run than making it pretty
