Default Any inexpensive accelerometer ?

I've been looking for a simple single axis accelerometer that isn't $200
Is there anything out there? my computech went out and I don't want to send a bunch on this since I'll be upgrading my data logger later.

I'll see your single axis, and raise you two... while staying well under $200. https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...428-ND/5277291

Would the MSP1001-ND also work?

Could you post up a picture of the trace during a run? Interested to see how well it works.

That one's rated for +-150G. Getting ambitious?

It's going to have resolution issues. Assuming your analog input has a 10 bit converter, even with zero noise, it's going to read in 0.3g increments. And a noise issue could wipe out the signal completely.

Gotcha makes sense. I'll stick with the other one then.

Not sure it will fit your needs, but here's another option: https://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/s...php?p=70710937
