Exactly. If they were better all the big time racers would be using them.

Same here, will I beat on a cast crank, sure, but I know better than to tell people that they are superior!!

There is a reason aftermarket cast cranks cost $150, and good steel cranks are $1000+, doesn't take a genius to figure that one out!!

For the record, I turned my 5.3 7200 this summer with an um..... uh......

cast crank.

I am doing good Cody how are you man?
I would run those Scat 9000 cranks all day in 400ish horsepower applications, but wouldn't push them much past that. Some people believe any damn thing they hear, that kind of ignorance is scary!!

Spray 250 on it and turn it 7500. I bet she holds

Shit I have seen some Pontiacs with 750 HP with a cast crank and then spray 300 on top of that. The cranks I am talking about are the Ohio brand or All Pontiac.

Hey Bryan did you see that build off with OCC, PJD, and JJ?

JJ may be an ass as if I know, but he sure can work some metal.

Honestly, in that case I would be more worried about the rods and rod bolts than I would the crank. LS cranks seem to be pretty damn stout for a factory nodular iron deal.

Last winter I talked to a guy in NC about parts or something, anyway, he said they have a stock 5.3 in a 63 Nova that they spray 350 on routinely, and had been doing it for a couple years!! Like they say, it's all in the tune up!

He said they've done the same thing with several Vortec 350's and never hurt one.

My neighbor has a 460 something inch poncho with Eddy heads, made almost 500 on the motor, he beats the crap out of it, 4 speed car (67 GTO), original crank and rods going strong!!

You can check the bikes out online. Jrs is flashy, Jesse's is Jesse's, and OCC is shit. OCC's looks fun, but would get old quick.

Sneak up on the tune and it will live. Go for it all at once and you may get lucky or may have to pick up parts.

Looking sweet man. Is this going to be shown on T.V. at all? If so I want to make sure I can watch it and if you need some votes mine can be for sale.

It looks like you knocked off 25lbs of pipe from stock with the new back bone setup.
