Default Car Stalling when shifting in burn out box

Hey guys just recently put a powerglide in my 1970 nova with a carb 403 LS motor on e85. The problem that I am having is when Iím in the burn out box I start off in first gear and when I grab second gear air/fuel goes completely lean and the car wants to die I can barely keep it running through the burnout Eventually the carb recovers and i carry-on with my burn out. Itís almost like the carb is losing signal? Does this make sense to anybody? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ignition is an msd 6010 and the cam shaft is .243 .251 @.050

Can we assume it did not do this prior to the trans swap?

Does it stall during a pass?

Do your burn out in high gear.

That is a good thought, But kinda wanted to fix the problem and not cover it up.

.

Not trying to cover it up, but you should be doing a high gear burn out any way.

Several trans experts have posted that.

I am doing my burn out in high gear I just don’t start there, I start in first to get the tires moving and once they start moving I click high and roll out.

That is not doing a high gear burnout, that is doing the normal old school burnout we all did, including me for over 20 years!!!

A high gear burnout is exactly as it sounds, put it in high and do the burnout.

Try lowering the f/level to bottom of the sight glass.

That's what I would try 1st, but can't think of why shifting would cause this??

My floats are at the top of the glass on dual dominators, with vent extensions.
