Think I may have trouble giving money to the NRA now.

Lots of life NRA members are abandoning the NRA on the AR15 forums. I used to be a member back in the 90s, but I got tired of the NRA always giving up rights, even an inch at a time, but never gaining ground. Negotiating means give, and take, but with the NRA, its always loosing something. Its never, " Ok, you guys want to ban this, well then lets repeal the machine gun ban, etc".

IMO, the NRA showed how corrupt they were by suggesting the bat men to re-evaluate the bumpstocks, then being Ok with Red Flag laws. When FL went full retard after the last school shooting, there was only one guy [his name is MiamiJBT on the AR15 forum] who showed up at the hearing [in FL] concerning the red flag laws, raising the legal age to own firearms, and making bump stocks illegal. The NRA was nowhere to be found.

Any organization, even one that starts out with good intentions in mind will eventually, over many years, become an organization only in business for themselves. At this point it wouldn't surprise me to find out the left has already put people on the NRA, BOD.

I'm supporting my state gun organization, which is where the real fight is taking place. Hopefully GOA, or similar will rise to take the place of the NRA.

We can only hope.

My only thing is that when I was watching the NRA convention coverage, when they announced the Oliver North was stepping down, the crowd when crazy in support for the current leadership. He was pretty open about the NRA having lost his way at one point. I feel like all the Fudd's out there will continue to support him no matter what. They won't want "dem black gun lovin youngsters corruptin dhere NRA!".

LaPierre will ride this until he dies, he will never step down until forced out. I just get that vibe from him. To think I used to be so proud of the NRA.

IF, anyone there has been embezzling, committing fraud, basically anything illegal or in violation of their own bylaws, then of course they should either step down or be removed. Right now, Im just in a wait and see mode. Wayne and the company hes attacking both have it in for each other. Maybe best if it gets into court and someone else decides WTF is going on.

SAF is top notch. I’ve been a member for years. I don’t think you’ll find any group anywhere that brings more pro-2A lawsuits per dollar of donations than SAF. As their name implies, they have only one focus.

I knew they were in trouble when they let Dana Loesch get up at CPAC and go off in the weeds.

How they let her "speech" slip through content approval is beyond me, considering the core membership base.

Wash Post day ago article with a list of where some of the money allegedly was going......NRA money flowed to board members amid allegedly lavish spending by top officials and vendors

It's because shes hot. I find her radio shoe ranty and annoying but her book "fly over country" was pretty good.

Edit: if you don't know who hes talking about.

And more importantly she is not the "old white male" image that the NRA falls victim to time and time again.
