Remove the fuel filter and look close to see if you have metalflake fuel.

If that high pressure fuel pump is bad you'll have to pull the cab to change to pump.

If the fuel looks good you probably have an injector that's dumping the fuel pressure.
So the problem is identifying the one that failed, when it doesn't run you have to cap off each injector and try to start it one at a time. 6.4's have a high failure rate of injector failures, it's best to replace all of them. I just bought a full set for a 6.4 from the dealer about a month ago and they were $1800.

Is this deleted?

Yes truck is deleted.

I pulled fuel filter cap the first day and did not see anything. I didn’t actually remove filter but will today.

If it’s dumping excess fuel shouldn’t I see it in oil? I haven’t looked at that yet though.

I’ve had truck since 119k and currently has 186k. It’s been flawless.

Thanks for trying to help. I’ll report back what I see in filter housing and rail pressure.

I have a feeling you have an injector that failed and your losing fuel pressure out the injector, the injector can't hold back the fuel pressure and it sprays out. When the volume of fuel excites the volume of the combustion chamber you get some nasty noises because it's hydro-locking, which is pretty common on this engine.

What causes fuel in the oil is a leaky return line or high pressure fuel pump because it's internal, then the fuel goes to the pan.

If you got 186k on the original injectors you are one lucky guy, the last 2 trucks I did had 55k and 80k and the injectors were junk.

Don't use any aftermarket parts on this engine unless you want practice changing parts.

.

Exactly why I listen to Gdog.
I found my perfect truck and it was a 6.4 and he told me do not buy it.
So I kept looking, raised my budget a little and found a 6.7

Good luck getting her figured out!!! I trust Gdogs advice 100%
