Default centrifugal for 540 bbc

I have a 725hp 8.75-1 pump gas 540 in a 66 nova with aftermarket front clip.
I'm considering a blower on E85 to avoid the intercooler( tight packaging) and most likely Holley EFI.
I'd like to stay with a hydraulic roller and want good drivability and need it to fit under the hood.
I have a powerglide with a gear vendor and weigh 3400lbs.
Also,im a fabricator so I can deal with oddball stuff.
What blower and drive will run the best with the most reliability?

Thanks for any thoughts

15% Easy 30-35% if you want to hammer it. Just check your fuel make sure there is not any water in it. Buy it in the drum...............

F1x -12 blower with procharger gear drive gives you more than a normal gear drive

Interesting,........

I am considering going with that very set-up on mine,...when comes it's time for an engine re-fresh. Getting tired of the maintenance associated with Nitrous.

Looking to do a Blow-Through Carb deal on my BBF.

It looks cool but not for engines with minimal room in front.

how much power do you want to make?
you might have to run a belt if you don't have the room for a gear drive. the belt gets the blower up & much closer to engine. the rack can be in the way for a gear drive & the mounts for blower to gear drive also.

as much as I can..lol.
The constraints are a hydraulic cam, e85 and a streetable 66 nova. I think a side slinger F2 will fit. I've seen the F1x run good on big and small motors but it was out of rpm range of a hydraulic cam when installed on a 540.
I've heard Vortech makes a really durable efficient piece.?
I'm open to suggestions for who to call. I'm on the list at SME.

I'm doing the same thing on mine with a belt.
I talked to the Pro-Charger expert at the Division race and he suggested that model.
I'm doing an E-85 carb and shooting for a 6.90 index power set up.

I won't be able to qualify at NHRA stuff, but will be plenty for local & fast bracket type events.

Are you locked to a centrifugal? With a whipple 510ax with the throttle in the rear you get a tight installation and much better throttle response. It supports 2000hp but maybe a bit less on e85. Jm tech from Sweden sells an identical product as the 510ax but at a much better price. I think Kenne bell are the dealer in the states.

I love screws(see avatar). Everything I’ve seen on the 510 looks like way more money. I’ll have to do some checking on that other supplier. Thanks.

Yes I know who you are that's why i think it would a shame if you ran sad thing beside your motor. Best of all would be a good ol whipple 980, but they getting more and more rare and prices getting up on them to and they are a little more tricky to run balanced on the cyls but nothing that you can sort. I run the a980 with efi with e85 on idle and cruise and automaticly switching to meth on load. A 540 need nothing but a big screw 😉

I forgot it needed to be a tight fit under the hood, a 980 won't be tight. https://jmtech.se/kompressorer/
50 pounds weight 4.7 liters/rev 14k advertised max rev
